Dear Node Runners,
We are pleased to announce a new release that includes numerous fixes and improvements! š„³
Here are the steps you need to follow to update your HOPRd:
For Docker Users (VPS/PC/MAC):
1. Open the terminal and search for a Docker container by executing the command: docker container ls.
2. Close the HOPRd container using: docker stop CONTAINER_ID.
3. Start your node using the instructions found in our documentation:
For DappNode Users:
1. Access the DappNode dashboard.
2. Visit docs page to copy the HOPRd hash:
3. In Dappstore, enter the HOPRd hash and update your node. Be sure to enable "Bypass only signed safe restriction" under Advanced options!
ā”ļø Once you have installed the latest version, here's what you need to do to participate in the network and receive rewards:
1. Log in to your HOPRd node and navigate to the "PEERS" section.
2. Choose a random node and attempt to ping it. If the ping-pong was successful, open a channel with that peerID by clicking on the "Open Outgoing channel" button.
3. In a minute or less, you will receive a notification about the opened channel. Confirm by checking the "CHANNELS: OUT" section to ensure the channel is open.
That's it! Your node is now ready to receive rewards! šŖ
P.S. The number of opened channels and balances will not impact your rewards!
