I’d also be super grateful if you could like, comment and share too! I can see lots of questions about Staking coming in, in preparation we created these FAQs which are available on the site too: What is staking? When you stake your $TAMA, the tokens remain in your ownership. Staking allows you to hold and lock up your $TAMA to earn a passive income of additional tokens. What are the benefits of staking? • Earn interest on your tokens easily. • No hardware or setups is required to stake. • Allows you to passively earn additional tokens. How are the staking rewards calculated? The rewards you receive are based on your percentage of the staking pool and the current annual percentage yield (APY). $TAMA staking rewards are then given at a rate of 3 $TAMA per ETH block. The percentage you own of the total staking pool will determine what percentage of the 3 $TAMA tokens you receive. What is APY? Annual percentage yield (APY) is used to calculate the return on staking. Compounding interest, as opposed to simple interest, is computed on a regular basis and the amount is instantly added to the balance. With each passing period, the account balance becomes a bit more, and so the interest paid on the balance grows as well. Can I withdraw the $TAMA I staked? You can withdraw your original staked $TAMA at any time, however, when withdrawing you will also withdraw your share of the staking rewards you have earnt during the period you have staked for. When can I withdraw my rewards? You can withdraw your rewards at any time. When claiming your rewards you can keep your staked $TAMA in the staking pool to continue earning rewards. Can I add more $TAMA to my staking balance? You can add more $TAMA to the amount you have already staked. However, if you stake more $TAMA, in the same action you will withdraw any staking rewards you have generated up to the current date. Community Questions - These aren’t on the site but I have seen them asked. What wallet can I use to Stake Tama? You can currently use your TAMA wallet or Meta Mask to stake on the Tamadoge website. In a future update, we’ll look at adding other options but these are the two available at the moment. What is the APY? The APY you get is based on the percentage of the pool you currently have - it is specific to your account. It will reduce as more people join the staking pool, which means the earlier you Stake the higher your initial APY will be. I’m not seeing MetaMask as an option To stake with your MetaMask you need to be logged out of your Tamadoge account (which will disconnect your TAMA Wallet). If you’re not seeing the option when you click ‘Connect Wallet’ then try refreshing your cache, restarting your device, using a different browser etc. MetaMask is showing as an option, but won’t connect MetaMask is working for some users, so we’d suggest trying standard troubleshooting tips i.e. refreshing your cache, restarting your device, using a different browser, using a different device etc. When staking there are two gas transactions to approve? 1. Choose amount to stake on popup 2. Approve the stake function via your wallet - Pay ETH gas to approve the staking pool to accept TAMA 3. Confirm the staking transaction on the popup 4. Approve the staking transaction on your wallet - pay ETH gas transfer TAMA from your account and add it to the pool But, we’ve also flagged this one with the product team to look into.
